The business is in its’ sixth year and has successfully challenged the status quo in retail consulting, developing an exceptional track record within their market across both the UK and USA and gaining many household names as clients.

As the business continues to drive growth across its’ portfolio of services they are seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the newly created role of Head of Pricing.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced retail professional with a proven track record in retail pricing strategy, ideally achieved across disparate retail businesses, who wants to work for a fast growing company, helping to shape its’ future and play a key part in its’ success.

Key Accountabilities:

The key aim of the role will be to develop and grow the TPC Pricing Practice, and the key accountabilities of the role can broadly be defined as follows:

• To engage and work with clients to understand their pricing challenges and devise solutions based on a deep understanding of their business processes, science and analytics and smart tooling where appropriate.
• To develop new client opportunities by working the Business Development team, supporting sales processes and to guide these towards solving clients’ business problems.
• To nurture and develop pricing expertise within the practice.
• Engage with others to continue to build and design Smart Tooling for the business.
• To support international opportunities where they arise, most likely in the US.
• To manage C level contacts within the client to ensure project success and to develop new business.
• To develop, manage and mentor a team of quantitative consultants who can support the mathematical modelling needs of clients.
• Bring experience and expertise from prior engagements with retailers or brands to the table to help develop and nurture new IP within TPC.
• To interface to other pillars in the company to help develop the overall digital transformation story
• Work with Business Development and Directors to develop highly effective tender/proposal submissions and presentations..
• Participate and attend in industry events such as seminars, trade shows, networking events, etc.

Candidate Profile:

• A highly experienced retail professional possessing pricing experience gained across more than one retailer.
• An excellent understanding of the science and analytics that can be applied to pricing.
• A robust understanding of the technology in the marketplace.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Good mentoring and people management skills, enabling people to perform at their best through motivating and developing them to achieve high performance.
• Be commercially astute and have a good level of sales awareness.
• A passionate and highly driven individual with the determination and strength of character required to develop and grow the pricing practice, maintaining focus on objectives whilst overcoming short-term challenges.
• An excellent listener, communicator and presenter with the personal presence to command respect and an ability to relate to individuals at all levels within a client organisation.
