We are working on a retained basis with a long established London headquartered business that operates in the field of promotional merchandise; offering a complete range of branded merchandise and gifts to corporate clients.

They provide a truly personal and consultative service ensuring that they deliver the most creative and compelling product solutions to clients. They form robust relationships with clients based upon genuine added value, ensuring that clients are retained over the long-term and that opportunities are fully maximised.

Following a period of restructure, and with Private Equity backing, the business is in a period of growth, with ambitious plans to really drive forward sustained organic growth by ramping up sales activity to fully capitalise on market opportunities.

To enable this they are seeking to appoint two experienced Business Development Managers.

Some of the key highlights are: 

  • Attractive basic salary of up to £70K
  • Very generous commission plan which should enable earnings of double base salary
  • No need to generate your own leads – there is already a significant database.
  • Be part of a small close-knit team, in a great working environment.

Candidate Profile:

  • An experienced sales professional with a minimum of five years sales experience in business to business solution sales. Specific experience in a similar business or sector is preferable.
  • A passionate and highly driven individual with the determination and strength of character required to drive growth across their territory, maintaining focus on objectives whilst overcoming short-term challenges.
  • An excellent communicator with the personal presence to command respect and an ability to relate to individuals at all levels within a client organisation.
  • Commercially astute with proven ability to identify, target and win new customers within a competitive sales environment.
  • An ability to challenge the status-quo within a target clients, overcoming challenges and obstacles and building a compelling case for change.
  • Be highly organised, target-oriented, with a drive for results and a proven ability to meet targets.

Remuneration Package:

Reflecting the key nature of this appointment our client is prepared to offer a competitive incentive based package to attract an ambitious sales professional, comprising of a competitive base salary of circa £70K (DOE) plus a very generous uncapped commission plan that offers realistic on target earnings of double base salary.
